Electrical Engineer Responsibilities 1.Performing the detailed electrical design engineering for large capital projects throughout the Georgia-Pacific system in North America. This would include: A. Designing a wide range of industrial electrical systems including plant power distribution systems, power and control systems for motors and drives, building infrastructure systems, and PLC-based control systems. B.Preparing specifications and bid packages for electrical equipment and construction services. C. Developing PLC and HMI programs. D. Providing project field support including construction supervision and equipment commissioning. 2.Potentially leading electrical engineering teams on capital projects, or providing oversight of external engineering resources in support of capital projects. 3.This job requires approximately 25% travel. 4.This job requires working in a wide range of industrial environments. Basic Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's Degree; Electrical Engineering preferred Must have a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience Knowledge - Skills Must possess electrical power and controls experience Must possess motor and motor control experience Must possess variable speed drive experience Must possess PLC and HMI programming experience Must possess National Electrical Code application experience Must possess the ability to successfully work in a team environment Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Must possess the ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously with a high sense of urgency Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office Suite Georgia Pacific is an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V Georgia-Pacific recognizes that our people make the difference.
